Leaf decomposition

This activity encourages young children aged 5-7 to explore what happens to leaves when they fall to the ground in Autumn and seemingly disappear in Spring. The activity teaches children that leaves decompose and that the decomposition of animal and plant matter on the ground results in the formation of organic matter known as humus. Children come up with a range of hypothesis which they then test either individually or in groups. Teachers’ notes are included together with suggestions for teaching resources.

Благодаря ви за страхотните идеи. Колкото повече учители се докоснат со тях, толкона повече деца ще се върнат към природата.
