In this section you will find a host of resources for teaching IBSE. We’ve searched through many books, education packs and websites to find resources relevant for teaching in botanic gardens and other informal education settings. For each one we’ve prepared a short review and a link to the relevant website. We have also developed resources especially for the INQUIRE project. INQUIRE Literature Review

The Inquire literature review traces the origins of Inquiry Based Science Education (IBSE) approaches. Drawing out a definition from much debated conceptions, the report also examines the evidence for the efficacy of IBSE and examines practical aspects and theoretical foundations for using IBSE inside and outside the classroom.

INQUIRE Course Feedback Reports

The INQUIRE Feedback Reports are available now. Illustrated with quotes from course attendees, the reports were drawn from interviews, questionnaires and evaluation sheets and bring out the strengths and shortfalls of the INQUIRE courses. They also shed light on how participants have changed their practices and the potential of Inquiry-Based Science Education to enhance learning.
