Science: it's a girls thing!

INQUIRE representatives from Austria and Belgium met the EU commissioner of research, innovation and science, Máire Geoghegan-Quinn at the launch of the campaign 'Science, it's a girls thing'. The commissioner was interested in the way the INQUIRE project could attract young people and especially girls from all over Europe to science. Together with the other FP7-projects, INQUIRE offered several workshops to EU officers and pupils of Brussels European Schools at the meeting in the European Parliament on 21st June. The goal of the campaign 'Science, it's a girls thing!' is to attract young women to research careers in order to increase the total number of researchers in Europe.
