INQUIRE EDUCATORS TRAINING DAY 23 October 2012

Outdoor learning sites such as botanic gardens, zoos and wetlands offer unique locations for children to gain first hand experiences of inquiry based science education (IBSE.) This course at WAKEHURST PLACE introduces the concept of IBSE and places its delivery in a botanical garden, to visiting school groups,delivered to support the UK national curriculum. A 'must attend' course for any educator wanting to inspire the next generation of plant scientists and environmentalists.

Teaching at the Heart of Learning

Teaching at the Heart of Learning is a joint conference of the Science and Mathematics Education Conference (SMEC) series and the FP7-funded project ESTABLISH, which was held in Dublin City University from 7th to 9th June 2012. At the invitation of the coordinator of SMEC, representatives from the INQUIRE project ran a workshop on INQUIRE. Partners from Bremen University and Moscow State University gave an overview of the project and presented some examples of activities, handing out brochures and pre-prepared CDs with information and materials in English, German and Russian.
